Al Thomas falls 5-4 in their preseason opener vs the Mill City Mustangs.

It came down to the last play, but Al Thomas Baseball Club was on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Mill City Mustangs on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Mill City Mustangs batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for Mill City Mustangs.


In the first inning, Al Thomas Baseball Club got their offense started. Cam Plank singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.


Matt Rothermel led things off on the mound for Al Thomas Baseball Club. The righthander went three innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out six. Jay Gamboa and Bill Donahue entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
