2023 YBL Award Winners

2023 YBL MVP

Matt Rothermel wins the 2023 YBL MVP.  Roth led the league in average at .476 with 30 hits, 7 doubles, 16 RBIs, 13 BB and 17 runs scored.  He was also dominant on the mound this year.  He had a 1.79 ERA over 27.1 innings with 35 strike outs and 18 hits against.  Congrats to Matt Rothermel on an incredible season!

2023 Fireman of the Year and Pitcher of the Year

Paul Wydom was a unstoppable on the mound this year.  Wydom totaled 47.1 innings in 12 appearances, recorded 47 strikes outs and allowing 37 hits, 10 earned runs and of note had a 9.2 inning outing vs BBS allowing 2 hits and 1 ER.  Wydom had 3 wins and 4 saves on the year, he lead all of the YBL in saves.  Congrats to Paul Wydom on an all-time season for ATBC. 

2023 All Rookie Team

Rookie Devin Perlman of ATBC was nominated to the 2023 YBL All Rookie Team.  Perlman led the league with a 1.26 ERA and 65 strike outs on 39 innings pitched. He was also tied for 1st place in wins with 5 on the year.  Can't wait to see what Perlman has in store for year 2. 

2023 Gold Glovers

Jake Beane 1B, Cam Plank C, Kevin Falvey OF, Zach Hatfield OF each one gold gloves at their respective positions.  Hatfield and Falvey locked down the outfield with their speed and also their cannons of arms.  Jake Beane had 0 errors at 1B all season and made some spectacular plays along the way.  Cam Plank locked it down behind the dish and had a number of throw outs at 2B and 3B this year.  Congrats to these 4 guys on solid years in the field.

2023 Silver Sluggers

Kevin Falvey and MVP Matt Rothermel were both silver sluggers this year.  Falvey had a .400 average with 18 hits, 4 2Bs, 2 HRs on the year.  Matt Rothermel as stated above, led the league in batting average and doubles on the year.  Congrats to Falvey on back to back years being a silver slugger.
