Al Thomas Baseball Club Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Brighton Braves

Al Thomas Baseball Club defeated Brighton Braves 10-8 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Al Thomas Baseball Club batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Al Thomas Baseball Club.


Al Thomas Baseball Club built a seven-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Brighton Braves's charge. Brighton Braves scored five runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Donovan, a single by #32, a single by Mahoney, and a double by #18.


Brighton Braves opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Brighton Braves.


Trevor Derochea got the win for Al Thomas Baseball Club. The southpaw went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out two. Ryan Mazzotta and Paul Wydom entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Wydom recorded the last out to earn the save for Al Thomas Baseball Club.


Ian Pierce started the game for Al Thomas Baseball Club. The lefty allowed zero hits and two runs over three innings, striking out five


Al Thomas Baseball Club tallied 14 hits in the game. Derochea, Jake Beane, Cam Plank, and Michael James Jr. each managed multiple hits for Al Thomas Baseball Club. Plank, Beane, and Derochea each collected three hits to lead Al Thomas Baseball Club.


Al Thomas moves to 4-0-1 on the year.
