The Al Thomas A's sent 3 players to the YBL All Star game at Fenway Park on August 13, and all three contributed nicely to the Stewart Division's victory. Aidan Powers, Chris Malloy and Steve Sherman were voted by the team as the 2002 representatives at the summer classic. Powers (last year's starting pitcher at Fenway) pitched a scoreless inning, Sherman was plunked twice and Malloy garnered MVP honors with a bomb into the screens, a fitting performance witnessed by the 30 friends and family members who came to see him play.
