The Al Thomas A's now have 5 wins and 2 losses after playing 5 games in 6 days. The 5 game stretch started with back to back games vs the Brighton Black Sox in cold and rainy weather. ATBC dropped 2 in a row with scores of 8-2 and 5-4. Al Thomas bounced back Monday June 5th vs McKay club with a 8-5 win that night led by Paul Wydom on the mound. Wydom went 6.1 innings with 8 K's and 3 ER on 6 hits.
Tuesday night, ATBC took on the Brighton Black Sox for a third time and pulled out a 16-11 win after being up 16-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. Shane Rhuda and Matt Rothermel both had 3 hits with everyone on ATBC all recorded at least 1 hit. Devin Perlman led the way on the mound going 6 innings with 4 ER and 4 K's. Paul Wydom came in the game in the bottom of the 7th and closed the game to eventually get the win.
The final game of this five game stretch was against East Boston Knights. Al Thomas recorded 12 runs on 16 hits with 5 doubles to win the game 12-4 after being tied 4-4 in the top of the 7th. Al Thomas exploded in the top of the 7th and put up 8 runs to close the game out. Kevin Falvey and Zach Hatfield both had 3 hits and 2 RBI's. Rhuda did not record an AB having 3 walks and a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
